New Valentines Themed Card! Plus More painters Tape Techniques

Hey Bloggy friends! Hope ya'll are having a great start of the week. I'm a huge romantic so I thought I'd use the challenge over at Some Odd Girl as an excuse to get started on some valentines Cards! Though I know a lot of people make all there holiday cards months in advance ( but I normally do it the same month or a month before). The theme of the challenge is (Bling it Up!) and who doesn't love some bling right? so join the fun if you get a chance! For this Challenge I used all types of mediums to "Bling it up" including Glimmer mist, stickles, stardust glitter pen and some good fashioned flat back rhinestones (and yes I owned a be-dazzler at some point lol). If you read my last post and watched my video from last week ,then you saw one of ways I use painters tape in my card making. In this card I also used painters tape to create the background of my Card ( the hills) so make sure and checkout my new video on my youtube channel ( Starsinpalm) to see my demonstration of that technique, plus a tutorial on how I made the Card! Thanks for coming by and I hope you get some crafty inspiration from my Card.

New Card and Fun Technique

Hello Bloggy Friends!
I'm super excited to show you a card I made this week for a few challenges including Young Crafter Unite Challenge #5
the background of this card (It's simple yet effective and all you need is painters tape). I will have a video posted up on my (Youtube Channel Starsinpalm) for those of you who rather see visual of the whole card coming together. I hope you guys love this card as much as I do, because I felt so inspired by the paper smooches stamp set I recently purchased ,I was just dying to make a card!

When using painters tape make sure to first lay it on your T-shirt or a blanket first so it looses some of it's tackiness, because if this step is skipped you may rip your paper ( The goal is to have it sticky enough that it will still adhere to your paper but can be removed with ease). Hope ya'll enjoy this quick and fun technique and let me know if you create any cool backgrounds using my tip! (It's also quite easy to punch shapes out of this tape but only once you have removed some of the tackiness.)

The Colors in this picture above really inspired me! the colors are so vibrant (Just love them)

Lawn Fawn CHA Challenge

Hey everyone I've been a busy girl today trying to get this card finished. It took longer then normal for me to finish this card because I was trying to film it at the same time. Just my luck the video camera turns off before I'm able to finish with my card tutorial (Oh well). Anyways I hope you guys enjoy this card and I hope it gets picked! (cross your fingers)

Everything from the back ground paper to focal image is Lawn Fawn. I created the background paper with snow flakes from the "Critters in the snow" set and stamping with several shades of color. The main images are from that same set as the snow flakes and then I also used the set "Fanciful Frames". The color was achieved with distress inks, copic sketch markers, liquid pearls, and perfect pearls. Remember to checkout my youtube channel because the video for this card will be up soon.

This Card is also being combined into the New Wee Memories Challenge - #81.(Since I'm using my New Law Fawn set "Fanciful Frames").

( They have great prices and there about to start a new sale! so check them out)

New Handmade Card

Hey Everyone! I can't believe were in 2012 already (Time just Flies by). I decided in honor of this new year,  I would try to use all the stamps I have  yet to use in a project (I promise there is not that many lol). This retired psx stamp is so pretty I wanted to start off the year with a very vintage girlie card (So here you have it)! I'm sorry it's a retired stamp but if you look hard enough you may still be able to purchase this stamp from a random seller. The main image is stamped in Memento ink (tuxedo black) and colored with Copic sketch markers. I added dimensional elements just to add more depth to the card ( Plus you know me ,can't help myself).
