Mixed Media Art Journal Cover

Today I was in the process of art journaling and I decided to decorate my actual art journal cover! I had wanted to do this for a while but could never decide how I wanted to decorate the cover. The over all feel is really inspired by my love of all things whimsical and creepy! I'm still planning on adding more detail over time but for now I'm happy with how it's coming out. Hope you guys enjoy this! I'd love to get your feedback...
The Background Consist of Gesso, Acrylic paint, tissue paper..
Door was colored with Acrylic paint, distress inks, Gel bead medium, Liquid pearls

I used "Ruby Red" liquid Pearls to achieve this textured look within the heart.

The Tutorial Video for this cover will be on my "Youtube" channel shortly so be sure to check that out.

"Oh The ButterFlies" Card

Hello friends,
Today I'm sharing with you a fun card using all the 'Spots' for the new ( TheStampSpot.com) look 'Spots' challenge! Hope this Card will inspire you to join in and play along with us. I also played along with the sketch challenge over at Some Odd Girl!
For today's card I have used Chocolate Mocha cardstock for the base, paired with a Brad for the centre of the bow, that has been tied with some  Twine . I've also used a Some Odd Girl stamp on some  Neenah (solar white) cardstock. The Butterflies were die cut from Fiskars punch and My Minds Eye (lost&found) cardstock . I created some visual interest by adding some hand sewing on the card and a bit of Stickles to the wings of main image.

Copic's Used: Skin (YR0000,YR000,YR00,W3,R02), Eyes (G29,G24,G21,G12), Hair (E57,E55,E51,E31)

Hope this inspires your crafty mojo!

Mixed Media Tag + New Card!

Hello Crafty Friends,
Today I'm sharing with you a Mixed Media Tag/ Card all rolled into one! I really enjoy making this Card and using different mediums to stamp with and I hope seeing my tutorial video will leaving you itching to try this technique (hehe)!

This is was one of my simpler "Mixed Media" tags, but I really felt it didn't need anything else. Totally fell in love with my dabbers (mostly because it was so nice not having any paint brushes to clean lol..)
I really love Some Odd Girl stamp set " Sweet Thinkin' Mae" and it's one of my favorite's! I paired together some Basic Grey "sweet threads" paper in the background, with Neenah "Solar White" cardstock and royal blue cardstock as the base.

Thanks so much for Following along with me and all your amazingly sweet comments!                 Crafty Hugs

Copic Coloring!

Hey Crafty Friends!
I hope everyone of you is having a good week. This week has been a bit stressful for me but I believe God gives you what he knows your capable of handling (even if you don't know it). Anyways I've been taking a really fun class called Created From Color to help sharpen my copic coloring skills and I'm really enjoying it! I thought I would show you guys an example of something I've colored, so far just to practice.

"One Color Shading" of Skin
"One Color" shading of Hair and Eyes
The idea behind this, is that even if you only own a few markers, you can still add shade and make it look great.  I struggled a bit with (One Color hair shading) but this was my first time not using several markers ( like I normally do) to create shade. Anyways I hope this inspires ya'll to pull out your copics and color.

(Image Colored is only for this class)
*Link above will lead you to upcoming classes!*
